environmental standards

The Alpha team recognise that environmental concerns are always present with print production and we take these issues very seriously. We have taken the following steps to ensure best practice in our industry:

We have invested in the first carbon neutral press in the country. The hi-tech four-colour press generates virtually no ink waste, produces a 20% increase in productivity and at least 18% reduction in energy utilisation.

ISO 14001 certification recognises our strong commitment to using printing processes and systems that minimise our environmental impact. Using this certification on your print work in turn demonstrates your own environmental commitment.

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) provides standard setting, trademark assurance and accreditation services for companies interested in responsible forestry. From over 10,000 printing firms in the UK, only around 7% have attained FSC status.

The PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation which promotes sustainably managed forests through third-party certification.

ISO 9001 certification recognises our quality management system that continually monitors and manage quality across all entire organisation. As the world’s most widely recognized quality management standard, it outlines ways to achieve, as well as benchmark, consistent performance and service.

Our delivery van is an eco-start van – rest assured your job will be delivered with the lowest of carbon footprint.
